| Through the generosity of several Peoria Bicycle Club members and the support
of Bushwhacker, Ltd., Russell's Cycling & Fitness Center and Proctor Hospital,
the Club has developed an eight station CompuTrainer indoor training facility located at
Proctor Hospital. Complete with MultiRider software, the center provides a
technically superior system for indoor group training and racing. The
CompuTrainer Center is available exclusively for Peoria Bicycle Club members for use
during conveniently scheduled sessions lead by members experienced in the operation
of the equipment so you can make the most of your time. |

| Club member Stan Watkins is our Training Director, courtesey
of Vision Quest Coaching. Click here for more info on Vision Quest
Coaching. Group training and coaching allows for non-competitive training in which
each rider performs at his or her own level. Individual athletes can train in ergometer
mode -- a key feature of the CompuTrainer system. The race administrator or coach
will enter an athlete's threshold value and then create a special
"time-versus-percent threshold" test for all athletes to follow. Each rider will
be doing the same test, but all at differing workloads! |

| For this season's Winter Training Program, we've added some new
features to improve upon last year's enjoyment. New will be an improved audio and video
setup and some basic equipment for building core strength. This year we operate the
Center from the first week of November and run through March. There is no change in the
monthly rate from last year, but with the additional month of November, the total fee will
be $200. Fees can be paid all at once or in two installments if more convenient. The
time slots are as follows: Monday & Wednesday 4:30 6:30PM
Monday & Wednesday 6:30 8:30PM
Tuesday & Thursday 5:15 7:15AM
Tuesday & Thursday 5:15 7:15PM
As with last year, signing up for the program allows you to use the facility whenever a
Computrainer is available during any of the scheduled sessions, not just during your
designated time slot. These time slots are subject to members volunteering to be
session leaders. Please let me know if being a session leader is something you would do. A
session leader opens and closes the facility, and starts-up the Computrainer software
before each workout. Session leaders also have back-ups or co-leaders to count on when
unable to make a workout.
