Volunteer Information

Your help is needed!  You will be able to attend the volunteer picnic free!  Pick a shift or two that you can work and contact the club member in charge more details.

Criterium volunteers check in at Registration in the Civic Center Atrium on Jefferson Street.

Course Marshals:  You will be assigned to a corner to stop spectators from crossing the course when riders are coming.  You may need to assist riders involved in a crash.  Volunteers under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Please refer to the volunteer form here.   Click here for Volunteer Instructions and all the details. Registration Volunteers:  You will be taking riders registration forms and assigning their race numbers.  Other duties include runners to deliver start sheets and other information to the race officials at start/finish, posting results and giving out prize money and primes.  You will either be inside or in a sheltered area during your shift.  Volunteers under 18 years old must have the consent of a parent or guardian.  Please refer to the volunteer form here.  Click here for Volunteer Instructions and all the details. Pace Car Drivers:  You must have a valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance.  You will be required to supply your  automobile insurance carrier, limits of coverage and policy expiration date.  Previous experience is encouraged for criterium pace car drivers.  The safety of the riders, spectators, course marshals and pace car drivers is our primary concern!  Pace car drivers have been selected.

Club Members:  You must work two shifts or duty assignments, one of which must be setup or tear-down, on Sunday to have your entry fee for the criterium waived.  You must volunteer in advance and be on the volunteer list to get your entry fee waived.

Volunteer Picnic:   Little Ade's will be hosting a volunteer picnic for you Saturday June 26th at 4:30 PM. It will be at Little Ade's Bike Shop, 305 N. 5th St. in Pekin. The menu will be Smoked Brisket and Smoked Pork.   Food will be served with brief announcements regarding  safety and other information to follow.  All volunteers should attend the picnic to get your assignment, instructions.
