The Club also has scheduled rides open to anyone.  You must have an approved helmet and it is a good idea to be self-sufficient with water, spare tube and/or patch kit, pump and whatever else you think you may need.  If you don't know the route, tell someone so you won't get dropped in unfamiliar territory.


Road Ride Schedule

Year Around Rides (weather & road conditions permitting)

Saturdays, 8:00 AM, Peoria, Illinois

  • Leaves from the Bosch Factory parking lot (Formerly LR Nelson) parking lot , 5901 W. Route 150.  Distances vary from 30-50 miles off-season, 50-70 miles in-season, at a moderate pace, 18-21 mph average.  Contact Greg Springborn at:  g.springborn@comcast.net

Saturdays, 8:30 AM, Washington, Illinois

  • Leaves from the parking lot on High Street, behind the BP station just off the square.  Distance is 25-50 miles and the pace varies from an average of 18-21 mph.  Routes will vary and there is usually a breakfast break at the mid-way mark. This is an Illinois Valley Wheelm'n ride. For more information check their Web site at:  http://ivwheelmn.org/.

Saturdays, 10:00 AM, Normal, Illinois

  • Leaves from Vitesse Cycle Shop 206 So. Linden, Normal, Illinois.  This is a year around ride, except for race weekends, with varying distances.  There will be sprints and intervals and whatever other pain the leaders decide to inflict.  Contact Bill Perry at  wlperry@gmail.com for more information.

Sundays, 8:30 AM, East Peoria, Illinois

  • Leaves from the Fondulac Park District Administration Building, 201 Veterans Dr., East Peoria (across from Wendy's).  Average speed usually stays anywhere from 17-19 miles per hour - slower   in the wintertime. Mileage is around 30-40 in the wintertime, and upwards  of 50-60 in the late spring - early summer. Breakfast stops are common  in winter, but Casey's is usually the only stop when warmer weather hits.  Contact Martin Reeves at: martin.reeves2@gmail.com

Sundays, 10:00 AM, Normal, Illinois

  • Leaves from Vitesse Cycle Shop 206 So. Linden, Normal, Illinois.  This is a year around ride, except for race weekends, with distances from 40-100 miles.  The pace will be somewhat more moderate than the Saturday ride, but keep your guard up.  Contact Bill Perry at  wlperry@gmail.com for more information.

Seasonal Rides (during daylight savings time)

Tuesdays, 5:00 PM, Washington, Illinois

  • Leaves from the parking lot off the northeast corner of the square (next to the Saturday ride location).  The short route is about 30 miles and the hill loop adds about 7 miles to the ride and includes several challenging hills.  This ride is at "race pace" speed, averaging 20-24 mph.  Several groups may form and may re-group at Eureka and the former Iron Bridge site.  Click here for a route map.  Click here for a printable  .pdf version.  Contact Greg Springborn at g.springborn@comcast.net for more information.

Thursdays, 5:30 PM, Washington, Illinois

  • Leaves from Russell's Cycling & Fitness located on the north side of Business route 24 on the west side of Washington.  Distance is usually about 30-40 miles over some challenging hills at a pace somewhat more moderate than the Tuesday night ride.   Routes may vary. Thursdays, 5:00 PM, Normal, Illinois
