shorts, Conditions were good this Wed. in Chilli, with a moderate wind out of the SE and comfortable temps in the 70's. My "out" time was only 45 secs. slower than my "back" time, to give you an idea of the wind. Dan Altorfer 26:53 PR! Triathlete who would have gone even faster except that he insisted on running the last 2 miles. Jerry Porter 26:28 Not far from a PR. Inspired by his mother, who 31 years ago to the day said, "Why don't you go ride your bike or something?" Jason Blackowicz 25:52 Feeling good since he overcame dangerous "Pez" candy dependency. Man, those things are addictive. Mike Tarantino 25:36 Mike has West Nile SARS, so if you have sucked his wheel lately see the Health Dept. or at least garggle with lye. Eric Kumpf 25:07 Eric was flying last summer, so he has evidently been wasting his time on family or work or some other diversion. Marty Reeves 24:57 More than 3 min.s faster than last time! I'm sure some riders ahead of him got "Martinized". Chris Barton 24:44 Darn good for his first time out, Chris won the prize for "Largest downtube in a short comedy", whatever that means. Ken Beckler 24:35 Credited his good time to "A fresh waxing." I was afraid to ask. Scott Fredrickson 24:17 PR! Scott was man enough to send me a downward revision of his time based on conscientious cross-referencing of others' times. Scott- have I taught you nothing about racing? Dan Hill 24:15 2nd place? I need more goats. (see last weeks results) Kelly Sparks 23:43 PR and winner WITH NO AEROBARS! Overheard saying, "Where's this Springbag or Stringburn or whoever?" Eric Weber DNF We won't know all the details for another 30 years, when the official files are unsealed. Dennis Turczyn Looked fast, but we don't know, we just don't know.
